Grand Circus Prize

Every year we award a prize to an artist who works in the same spirit as the circus hotel. This year, Richard Johansson was the winner! Here is the jury’s motivation:

Richard Johansson’s works are humorous, tender and always made with great care. He takes us on a journey through memory and imagination, portraying everything from his idols in popular culture to birds and other animals, as well as people he remembers from his childhood and adolescence.

The artist also undertakes to create this year’s poster, which is sold at the reception in favor of the winner. This is this year’s poster:

The first prize ever was rewarded in April 2025, and went to the artist duo Anonymouse.
